Yesterday I took Elise to Annapolis to see a children's theater production of "The Little Mermaid, Jr." We had such a fun day. After church, we drove down to Annapolis (about 45 minutes) and ate lunch at Panera Bread (Elise's choice). Then we headed to the theater. She was so excited and was mesmerized throughout the show. Afterwards, we hit up a local park and went for her first trip to Dairy Queen. I couldn't believe that a small ice cream cone was almost $3! Anyway, she was so worn out that she fell asleep on our drive back to Towson. I am pretty sure she hasn't fallen asleep in the car since 2011 :) Looking forward to more mother/daughter dates in our future!

Terrible angle (try taking a self portrait with the big camera) but we had fun!

Stephanie, thank you so much for taking the time in your very busy day to post these notes and pictures of the family. Texas is a long way from Baltimore so the blog updates help keep me a little closer to these incredibly fast growing grandkids!
